Dr. Pavlos Eirinakis
Pavlos Eirinakis is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Management and Technology, University of Piraeus. He received his BSc in Informatics in 2002 and his MBA in 2004 from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He fulfilled his PhD in 2010 at the AUEB, Department of Management Science and Technology, working mainly on Stable Matching problems. Within ELTRUN, he has worked on industrial and logistics research projects as well as on matching under preferences basic research. He has also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at West Virginia University, focusing on computational logic, quantified linear systems and graph algorithms. Moreover, he has worked as an R&D Engineer in maritime, designing and implementing decision support algorithms and systems. He has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various Greek universities. His work has been published in several scientific journals (including Mathematics of Operations Research, Algorithmica, SIAM Journal of Discrete Mathematics, INFORMS Journal on Computing, etc.) and presented in various international conferences. His research interests include the application of optimization methods and the design of decision support systems in industrial production, logistics and maritime.
