Dr. Dimosthenis Kotsopoulos
Dr. Dimosthenis Kotsopoulos has been a researcher at the ELTRUN research laboratory since
2016, participating in EU-funded projects. His work experience also includes eight years in an
executive position within the field of pharmaceuticals’ production & marketing, as well as two
months as a team leader during the “Athens 2004 Summer Olympic Games”. He holds a PhD in
Organizational Energy Conservation Behavior & Motivational Information Systems from the
Department of Management Science & Technology (DMST) at Athens University of Economics
and Business (AUEB). He has also acquired the title of Executive MBA from Athens University
of Economics & Business, graduating First in his class (valedictorian), and holds the title of MSc
in Geographical Information Science (GIS) from the University College London (UCL), as well
as a degree in Geology from the school of Natural Sciences at the University of Athens.
Dimosthenis has published over twenty scientific papers in academic journals, proceedings of
international academic conferences, and edited books. His research interests include: Green IS,
Motivational IS, Employee Motivation, Organizational Extra-Role Behaviour, Gamification,
IoT, Indoor & Outdoor Geolocation.
